Field Interviewer - Part Time - Fayette County
On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is
seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Research Field Interviewer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in
collecting accurate and reliable data through in-person interviews for the Social Environment and Cognitive Health in Urban and
Rural Areas Study (SECHURA) in Connersville (Fayette County) Indiana.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a
strong sense of professionalism, and is comfortable working in diverse settings.
As a Field Interviewer, you will help collect data from
fellow Hoosiers ages 55+ identifying associations between social networks,
community, and cognitive function across rural and urban areas.
The position is hourly with a pay rate starting at $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. Experienced survey research
field interviewers with CAPI experience will be considered for a higher pay
rate.
As Field Interviewer, you will:
• Drive to selected households in Fayette County, Indiana to
conduct a 60-minute survey
• Recruit in-person and obtain informed consent from the
respondent based on study protocol
• Administer a survey with the household member using a
tablet computer
• Transmit data to Indiana University using an Internet
connection
• Follow strict rules regarding operating protocols and
participant confidentiality
• Work with other research team members, communicating with
and reporting to our central offices in Bloomington
• Attend weekly meetings with field supervisor by phone
Field Interviewer Qualifications:
• Must reside in Indiana or within 40 miles of selected
counties for this study
• Responsible and accountable adults, age 18 and older
• Strong computer skills and experience using a tablet
computer
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable making unannounced visits to homes asking
individuals to participate in this research study and asking sensitive
questions
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and
dependable personal automobile for local travel
• Prior experience working with the public or interviewing
preferred
• Must give consent to a background , motor vehicle record
check and drug screening
• Must have an acceptable driving record
Hours and Training
• Attend paid in-person training at Indiana University in
Bloomington IN (hotel accommodation and travel reimbursement included) from
December 12-15, 2023.
• Flexible schedule (day, evening, weekend hours all
required)
• 24-32 hours per week (minimum 24 hours up to 40 hours if
work is available) for approximately three to six months.
