IT Assistant
$19-$20/hr

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Information Tech Assistants As an Information Tech Assistant, you will install, configure, and update election software on 300+ laptops. The pay for this position is $19-$20 per hour.
Responsibilities of an Information Tech Assistant:
· Install, configure and update election software on 300+ laptops.
· Test desktop printers and resupply with paper and toner.
· Test voting equipment and document results for official record.
· Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
· Prepare peripherals for dispatch to voting locations (printers, barcode scanners, mice) including packing and custody control.
· Assist with setting up cabling and technical infrastructure at Early Voting Sites and BOE Training Rooms.
· Provide on-site technical support during election training and during Early Voting.
· Provide on-site and telephone technical support to voting locations during voting periods.
· Setup computer workstations for office staff.
· Periodically audit and inventory office tech supplies.
· Assist with basic software and programming related tasks.
· Process and resolve Helpdesk technical support tickets.
· Assist in reconciliation after each election.
· Must be available to work full days and must be able to work up to 50-60 hour work week (including weekends) during the election season.
· Must maintain confidentiality of voter information and sign a confidentiality statement before being hired.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US.
· Must be available to work full days on all dates of voting.
· Must be able to type (a data entry assessment is required).
· Must be able to sit and stand for at least three hours.
· Must have reliable transportation. Driving is required for this position.
· Must have STRONG knowledge of Windows 10 OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Must be comfortable working in VARIOUS roles which may include physical labor, light tech support, site setup and equipment assembly, supply inventory, general office tasks, and other supporting roles.
· Assessments required unless stated otherwise.
Preferred Qualifications – Associates Degree Preferred (Equivalent Education and Related Work Experience Accepted):
· Hardware and Software installation.
· Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem solving with technology.

Part-time Telephone Interviewer
$19.03-$20.03
Remote
On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking part-time remote Telephone Interviewers to support a study for DC Medicaid (aka DC Health Families). Interviewers must be residents of the District of Columbia (DC) and will be trained to conduct surveys with Medicaid beneficiaries in DC.
This will include fielding inbound calls from study participants to answer questions and to complete the survey over the telephone. This position will start December 11, 2023, and continue until April 30, 2024. The project will be interviewing people about beneficiaries’ services available, experiences with any of the services, and identify any barriers to access.
Benefits as a Telephone Interviewer:
$19.03-$20.03 per hour/Paid training
Health and welfare stipend of $4.54 per hour, up to 40 hours per week
Consistent schedule offered – 20 hours per week with the possibility to work up to 40 hours per week based on performance, availability, and project needs
Most interviewers are needed for the evening and weekend hours.
Available shifts are listed below; qualified candidates must be available to work the full shift hours for the selected shift and maintain assigned shift for the duration of the assignment. Additional hours may be available, including extending shift times and evenings and weekends.
10:00 AM – 9:00 PM Monday – Friday
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Saturdays
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Sundays
Schedules will be adjusted based on sample release and mailing schedule for advance letter and the status of beneficiaries’ online surveys.
As a Telephone Interviewer, you will:
Conduct 15-minute surveys with sample members as well as answer questions that are received via the customer’s respondent helpline.
Accurately record details of each call and capture responses from study participants.
Be on the phone the full shift and be comfortable making a high volume of calls with specific time constraints
Read the questions clearly and verbatim to the participant
Position Qualifications:
Resident of District of Columbia
High school diploma or GED required
Strong attention to detail
6 months of customer service experience preferred; preferably in a government agency, hospitality, financial/banking, or professional office setting
Experience with conducting telephone surveys preferred; preferably in a call center or working remotely
Proficiency with troubleshooting and using computers
Consent to a required background check
Experience interviewing/working with people with mental illness
(Preferred) ability to communicate in an alternate language (Spanish and/or Amharic)
Hours & Training:
Required Training start December 11, 2023
Successful completion of self-study and web-based training prior to outbound calling

radius of this location may be considered. As a Field Interviewer, you will
conduct interviews supporting the Building Evidence on Employment Strategies
(BEES) evaluation study, which provides employment services for individuals who
have received treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) and are seeking to
reenter the workforce.
This is a
part-time position and applicants must be available at least 20 hours
per week up to 40 hours per week based on availability of work. Applicants must
be available to work a combination of weekdays and weekends when Respondents
will be available and must be available to attend project training. A tablet,
keyboard and phone will be provided and is for use only on this assignment. The
compensation for this position is based on your location and follows the
Service Contract Act (SCA) rates. The SCA Rate for Cook County is $19.58 per hour, plus a
$4.60 per hour Health & Welfare stipend.
