Telephone Polling Interviewer (Remote)

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Remote Telephone Polling Interviewers to support research studies. As a Telephone Polling Interviewer, you will be responsible for calling potential respondents, asking the appropriate questions and recording their answers using a Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system. This opportunity is a part-time position (offering 9 to 28 hours per week) and pays $14.50 to $15 per hour, with paid training starting in mid to late April. Data collection will continue into November 2024 and there will be a possibility of continued employment beyond November 2024. Must achieve and maintain appropriate calling metrics such as dials per hour, low refusal rate, and high conversion rate. Must attend full training and pass quizzes within the training. Ability to sit for extended periods of time and maintain both focus and motivation. Shift hours are available Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday’s from 2 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time Zone. Shifts will be available on Friday’s and Saturdays from Labor Day to Election Day. Shift minimums are 3 hours with longer shifts available. Available to work weeknights from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST and have flexibility to work past 9 p.m. EST and least one weekend shift (Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and/or Sundays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.). The hours available for shifts are based on project availability and project performance. Sometimes shifts end early or are delayed in getting started due to project timing. All other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CATI system software. Previous working experience with Voxco. Previous experience with Kronos. One year of polling experience. Equipment Requirements: Desktop and laptop computers manufactured within the last five years. Windows, macOS, or Linux-based operating systems with the latest updates and patches. Latest version of either Mozilla Firefox (preferred), Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge. Please do not use Safari. A high-speed internet connection is required, at least 25 Mbps Upload/Download. Use of a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for more stability. At least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB or more is preferable) to ensure smooth operation when running Voxco CATI. Solid State Drives (SSDs) rather than Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) are recommended. Total storage should be 128 GB or greater. Agents are required to have a minimum of 1 GB of available storage to save files in the form of training, documents and other materials. Monitor with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels or higher is recommended for a comfortable survey design experience (best experience is using a 15-inch to 20-inch display). A high-quality wired microphone headset using a headphone jack or USB connection. As an Early Childhood Assessor, The Early Childhood Assessor LTE is responsible for assessing children on early childhood language, literacy, and math skills. This position requires independent transport to centers, four assessments per child, accurately calculating and recording assessment scores, as well as engaging and redirecting young children to remain focused on the assessments. Time spent administering the assessments at the centers is compensated at $35/hour for each completed assessment. Time spent uploading data at the end of each day worked is compensated at $25/hour. This position is temporary and will begin the week of April 15th with paid training and last approximately 4 weeks or until the case load of 50-60 assessments is completed. Responsibilities of an Early Childhood Assessor: Completes company training on administering assessments. Spends 8-14 days working for the Spring assessment period in our schools. Paid virtual training Spring Term Period: April 15th to May 17th 2024 Administer the assessments with a case load of 50-60 children, working 3-4 times at the center per week, completing around 5 assessments per day, plus upload data at the end of each day (total work per day up to 8 hours). Scores assessments and submits them via FedEx, UPS, or USPS. Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required. Performs any and all other duties (functions) as assigned. Qualifications: Masters or PhD preferred; active enrollment in a Masters/PhD program also considered. Experience with data collection is preferred. Experience teaching children is preferred.
