Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking to hire Certified Traffic Control for our local client in the Wake County, NC area. As Traffic Control Attendant, you will play an essential role in creating a smooth and successful early voting operation. This is a short-term assignment, offering approximately 7 hours on Saturday, March 2nd, Sunday March 3rd and Tuesday, March 5th. The pay rate is $15 per hour.

As a Certified Traffic Control, you will…

  • Direct temporary staff from New Hope Road into and out of Wake County Board of Elections Operations Center staff parking lot located at 1200 N. New Hope Road. Will hand out and receive back parking placards for temporary staff. Keep general public from entering. Direct traffic flow through the lot.
  • Can be reassigned to other job duties if necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the US
  • Must be willing to consent to a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must be available to work full shifts and must be able to work weekends
  • Must have the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Adhere to all regulatory, company, and departmental policies and procedures

  • Able to sit and stand for at least three hours
