On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Telephone Polling Interviewers to support research studies. As a Telephone Polling Interviewer, you will be responsible for calling respondents, asking the appropriate questions and recording their answers using a Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system. This opportunity is a part-time position (9 to 28 hours per week) and pays $14.50 to $15 per hour, with paid training early March.  Data collection will continue into November 2024 and there will be a possibility of continued employment beyond November 2024.  Applicants for consideration should reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota,Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Knowledge of a telephone, headset, computer (including a keyboard and mouse).
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management and colleagues.
  • Ability to read and communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Must be able to maintain an agreed upon schedule and provide appropriate notice of any absences or changes.
  • Must be able to achieve a productivity level (completed surveys per hour) that is at or above the group average.
  • Must exhibit a proper demeanor by adhering to the guidelines provided by our client.
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain quality levels as detailed during training.
  • Must achieve and maintain appropriate calling metrics such as dials per hour, low refusal rate, and high conversion rate.
  • Must attend full training and pass quizzes within the training.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and maintain both focus and motivation.
  • Ability to work three shifts (minimum 3 hours per shift) per week.
  • Available to work weeknights from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST and have flexibility to work past 9 p.m. EST and least one weekend shift (Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and/or Sundays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
  • The hours available for shifts are based on project availability and project performance.  Sometimes shifts end early or are delayed in getting started due to project timing.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CATI system software.
  • Previous working experience with Voxco.
  • Previous experience with Kronos.
  • One year of polling experience.

Equipment Requirements:

  • Desktop and laptop computers manufactured within the last five years.
  • Windows, macOS, or Linux-based operating systems with the latest updates and patches.
  • Latest version of either Mozilla Firefox (preferred), Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge.  Please do not use Safari.
  • A high-speed internet connection is required, at least 25 Mbps Upload/Download.
  • Use of a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for more stability.
  • At least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB or more is preferable) to ensure smooth operation when running Voxco CATI.
  • Solid State Drives (SSDs) rather than Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) are recommended.
  • Total storage should be 128 GB or greater.  Agents are required to have a minimum of 1 GB of available storage to save files in the form of training, documents and other materials.
  • Monitor with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels or higher is recommended for a comfortable survey design experience (best experience is using a 15-inch to 20-inch display).
  • A high-quality wired microphone headset using a headphone jack or USB connection.
