Telephone Polling Interviewer (Remote)

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Remote Telephone Polling Interviewers to support research studies. As a Telephone Polling Interviewer, you will be responsible for calling potential respondents, asking the appropriate questions and recording their answers using a Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) system. This opportunity is a part-time position (offering 9 to 28 hours per week) and pays $14.50 to $15 per hour, with paid training starting in mid to late April. Data collection will continue into November 2024 and there will be a possibility of continued employment beyond November 2024. Special Note: Applicants for consideration must reside in one of the following states for this remote position: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Qualifications & Requirements: Knowledge of a telephone, headset, computer (including a keyboard and mouse). Strong communication skills; both verbal and written. Ability to effectively communicate with management and colleagues. Ability to read and communicate clearly and effectively in English. Must be able to maintain an agreed upon schedule and provide appropriate notice of any absences or changes. Must be able to achieve a productivity level (completed surveys per hour) that is at or above the group average. Must exhibit a proper demeanor by adhering to the guidelines provided by our client. Must be able to achieve and maintain quality levels as detailed during training. Must achieve and maintain appropriate calling metrics such as dials per hour, low refusal rate, and high conversion rate. Must attend full training and pass quizzes within the training. Ability to sit for extended periods of time and maintain both focus and motivation. Shift hours are available Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday’s from 2 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time Zone. Shifts will be available on Friday’s and Saturdays from Labor Day to Election Day. Shift minimums are 3 hours with longer shifts available. Available to work weeknights from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST and have flexibility to work past 9 p.m. EST and least one weekend shift (Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and/or Sundays from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.). The hours available for shifts are based on project availability and project performance. Sometimes shifts end early or are delayed in getting started due to project timing. All other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Microsoft Office and CATI system software. Previous working experience with Voxco. Previous experience with Kronos. One year of polling experience. Equipment Requirements: Desktop and laptop computers manufactured within the last five years. Windows, macOS, or Linux-based operating systems with the latest updates and patches. Latest version of either Mozilla Firefox (preferred), Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge. Please do not use Safari. A high-speed internet connection is required, at least 25 Mbps Upload/Download. Use of a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for more stability. At least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB or more is preferable) to ensure smooth operation when running Voxco CATI. Solid State Drives (SSDs) rather than Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) are recommended. Total storage should be 128 GB or greater. Agents are required to have a minimum of 1 GB of available storage to save files in the form of training, documents and other materials. Monitor with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels or higher is recommended for a comfortable survey design experience (best experience is using a 15-inch to 20-inch display). A high-quality wired microphone headset using a headphone jack or USB connection. On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Adult Supervisors in the Milwaukee, WI area. Applicants need to be willing to drive to locations in Milwaukee County. Our client is currently working with the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, on an important study called the 2024 Retail Tobacco Compliance Check Survey throughout Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services has contracted with our client, to carry out this survey to monitor the sale of tobacco products to minors. Federal law requires that all states comply with section 1926 of the Public Health Service Act. In order to do this, Wisconsin must collect scientific survey data detailing any trends in tobacco sales to underage youth over the next several years. This is where we need your help! We are seeking adults (21 and over) who are able to help train 4 teens (two males and two females), ages 17-20 to work as part of a survey team. You will receive paid training on survey protocol, and travel to between 30 and 110 preassigned locations (such as restaurants, supper clubs, gas stations, etc.) in counties near you. Pay for this position is $19-20 per hour. Responsibilities of an Adult Supervisor: · Be available to attend an online training via video conference on Saturday June 8th, 2024.· Be available to work from June 8th, 2024 until and July 13th, 2024 or until locations are completed. · Be organized, detailed oriented. · At each location, the youth inspectors will attempt to purchase tobacco products and then return to the car, where the supervisor will fill out a brief survey form. Then they will travel to the next destination. · Be resourceful, dependable, possess excellent communication skills. · Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation (daily travel only, no overnight stays required). · The bulk of the hours will probably be traveling time, as the locations are randomly selected and may be in rural areas. · Adult supervisors have typically worked 40 to 80 hours total over a period of 4 weeks to complete their assigned survey locations. · It is important to note that this is simply data collection - there is no penalty for the vendors if they do sell the teen inspector cigarettes. · Must consent to the performance of a background check, including DMV background.
